The Ministry of Commerce announced new supports for exporters, which were published in the Official Gazette and entered into force today.
In the written statement made by the Ministry; world trade in recent years; Stating that it is in a rapid transformation process under the shadow of the global epidemic, trade wars and political tensions in terms of its structure, routes and prominent actors, “Our country, through the right strategies and policies regarding the opportunities and threats posed by the changing global conditions, has gained both its share from world trade in this process. As a matter of fact, our exports, which increased by 32.8 percent and reached 225.2 billion dollars in 2021, reached 125.9 billion dollars in the first half of 2022. Increasing its strong performance with each passing day, our exports reached the end of the year target. It is advancing step by step to 250 billion dollars.
It was noted that it is important for exporters to reach export-oriented state aids faster than ever and to benefit more effectively during the rapid transformation process in global conditions, and said:
“In this context, our export-oriented state aids, which have been carried out by our ministry through many different legislations and have successfully touched many of our exporters, have been adapted to the changing global conditions with a new perspective, by adding new support mechanisms in line with the needs of the foreign trade ecosystem, under the name of ‘Decision on Export Supports’. It was published in the Official Gazette dated 18 August 2022 and entered into force with the number 31927. In this way, the legislation regarding the currently implemented support programs was made easier to understand, plain and clear, while a single Presidency with a holistic, innovative and flexible systematic that adapts to current developments in terms of content. With the decision, it was stated that in addition to the new supports, reinforcements and changes were made in the existing supports. Expenses related to registration, permit and licensing procedures, which are compulsory for entry to foreign markets, which will trigger the exports of our sectors such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices/consumables, which are among the strategic sectors of our country, are included in the scope of Market Entry Documents Support. Within the scope of the Decision on Export Supports, our SMEs were encouraged to participate in a higher number of fairs and the supports were differentiated and increased with the aim of organizing more effective fair organizations.
